Our Bedford based customer is part of a world-leading operation that specialises in the manufacturing of advanced fluid management solutions that enable access to water and energy. Operating in over 40 countries they design sustainable, easy to install, and innovative solutions to address the worlds water challenges and accelerate the transition to clean energy.
The Challenge
Our customer had internal challenges with new management being introduced, which meant consolidation of teams and product ranges expanding from aluminium only, to aluminium and plastic. With all the internal turmoil and changes, keeping efficiency high and maintaining OTIF (On-time in-full) was of the upmost importance. Having a supplier they could rely on and supply them with the products they need was key during 2023.
Looking ahead to 2024 there would be more changes to come, only reinforcing the need for a reliable supplier to their sites.
The Solution
A key product Exporta to help efficiencies on a range of different sites and operations are our Picking Bins. These allow for easy identification and access to products, and were the best option for their set up. As well as supplying Picking Bins from our core range, we also supplied Stillages, which again can help make the difference in efficiency as well as space saving.
Out with our core range of products, we also supplied Gravity Fed Racking. Our team can support with bigger projects and find solutions like racking and shelving that work with our products.

Despite a turbulent year for our customer, they have had no issues working with Exporta. Our solutions have helped to massively improve their OTIF and allowed them to grow on the same, if not a lesser number of people, due to increased efficiency from the solutions we supplied.
Going forward if the budget is there, the customer would work with us again on different sites to supply more Gravity Fed Racking and Stillages.
