You might have noticed that there are a wide range of pallet sizes available. However, there are thankfully not as many pallet sizes as there once was. This is due to regional and global organisations now standardising pallet sizes by application and region. But you will still need to be sure you are using the right pallet for your application, be that transportation via container trucks, or airfreight to European countries.

We have compiled all the FAQ’s when it comes to Pallets. But this guide will show you the most common pallet sizes you may come across and need for your business.

STANDARD PALLET SIZE (UK)

Length – 1200mm

Width – 1000mm

EURO PALLET SIZE

Length – 1200mm

Width – 800mm

CONTAINER PALLET SIZE

Length – 1100mm

Width – 1100mm

QUARTER PALLET SIZE

Length – 600mm

Width – 400mm

Pallet Load Bearing Capabilities

STATIC LOAD

–          Placed on a pallet at rest on a flat surface

–          Stacks of pallets, pallets on their own

–          Maximum static load could be 3000kg

DYNAMIC LOAD

–          For use on conveyors or moved around a warehouse on a forklift

–          Maximum dynamic load up to 1750kg

RACKING LOAD

–          For use on racking systems

–          Can vary by individual warehouse racking solutions

–          Maximum load for when pallet and products are placed on a racking system
