In this scenario, the client was only using the available floor space in one of their warehouses for storing pallets. They were looking to increase their storage capacity and they wanted to install pallet racking to do this. This was a vital move as the lack of space to store pallets of produce for one of their departments was causing delays. They contacted Exporta and we stepped in to help.
Our solution was to install a mixture of standard pallet racking and narrow isle pallet racking. Narrow isle racking (VNA) was chosen as this allowed for more runs of racking and a greater storage capacity within the warehouse.
Firstly, we carried out a site survey and designed a pallet racking layout to make the most out of the available warehouse height. This allowed for an increased pallet capacity. We worked closely with the customer from the initial design stage right through to the final sign off to ensure we kept them up to date with progress and any adjustments that may have occurred during the process. We allocated a project consultant and a project manager to the project to ensure the process remained efficient and to ensure it was delivered on time. The project started within 2 weeks of the order being confirmed and work was completed within 10 working days.
The customer is now able to make more efficient use of their warehouse with pallet racking in place utilizing the height of the warehouse. The floor space created allowed for an efficient dispatch area. The warehouse was cleaner as a result and much more efficient. The customer was delighted with the solution we provided, and the quality and effectiveness in which the installation was carried out. During the process we kept the customer up to date and informed with every detail and our installation team ensured there was minimal disruption to the client’s daily operations while ensuring the site was kept clean and tidy at all times.
