2022 – A Year in Review at Exporta

As 2022 draws to a close, we are looking back at some of the highlights here at Exporta. Another busy year, it’s been great to continue to support our customers up and down the country. As restrictions eased it was great to get back to seeing our suppliers and customers in person again. We exhibited at IntraLogisteX in March and at IMHX in September.

We re-launched our website at the beginning of the year, providing a better online purchasing experience for our customers as well as more in-depth knowledge and insights through our Info Hub.

While there were mostly positives, 2022 was not without its challenges. Rising costs across raw materials and fuels were felt across the logistics world and beyond. Supply chain issues impacted business and consumers. But throughout all those challenges we managed to keep stock moving and minimise the impact to our customers.

Even though the year is not quite over, we’re taking some time to reflect on some of the key moments of 2022 for Exporta…

Plastic Pallet Recycling Initiative

In October we launched our new Pallet Buy-Back service. Combining our goal of being more environmentally conscious and supporting our customers, we would now offer the opportunity to recycle your pallets and earn credit with us. Whether you bought your plastic pallets from Exporta or not, the initiative is open to anyone. After completing our form and getting a quote, we’ll pick up the pallets for recycling and you would get credit against future Exporta orders. Find out more here.

Steps Towards Net Zero

Earlier in the year we began working with Auditel. They help organisations reduce their carbon emissions whilst also reducing their costs. They have been able to us identify, demonstrate and strategically execute our commitment to Sustainability and Net Zero. In our August blog post we talk more in depth about what our goals are what’s next on our sustainability journey.

In-House Product Printing

In the summer we installed our new in-house product printing machine. It’s been an instant hit with our customers who have taken advantage of the quick turnaround and high quality now on offer when you add your logo to one of our products. You can read more about the installation and products available in our blog.

Expanding our Product Range

We’re always looking to improve our range and bring in new and innovative products. In 2022 we have added 60 new products to our range. From tamper evident seals and dollys to coloured Hygiene Pallets and Recycled Pallet Boxes, we continue to expand our offering and provide quality products to enhance your own operations.

Our new Collapsible Pallet Boxes are available in different sizes to suit your requirements. They can come with lids or dust covers.  Like all our Pallet Boxes there are extremely robust and practical. View all our Collapsible Pallet Boxes here.

A completely new product for Exporta was the Bulk Bag Handling & Storage Stillage. This is a unique system for easy filling, safe transport, efficient stacked storage and easy discharge (with a dosage and cut off possibility through the slide) of solids packed in bulk bags.

To compliment our container range, we also introduced Container Insert Tubs. These tubs, available in two sizes are designed to work with 600x400mm crates to give you compartmental storage. These tubs work with our Euro Containers, Tote Boxes, Automation Crates, Folding Crates and Stack/Nest Crates.

New Exporta Team Members

To ensure we can keep up with demand and continue to provide the best possible service to our customers, we welcomed some new faces to the team at Exporta this year.

In Procurement we have Connor Hunter. Connor makes sure we have the products in stock so you can get what you need when you need them. Clara Michel has come on board to support with New Product Development. Wioletta Zywicka joined the team as a Data Administrator, ensuring that our database and customer details are up to date and supporting the wider sales team. And finally, our most recent addition is Russell Smith. Russell joins us with a wealth of experience and industry knowledge. Working in Business Development he will be out meeting customers and potential customers face to face and helping find the best solutions for you.

A lot of exciting developments at Exporta over the year, and we’re excited to see what we can achieve together with all our customers, suppliers, and partners in 2023.
